Wispeco’s Involvement in Large Infrastructure Projects

Wispeco is proud to say that it has recently been involved in some of the larger infrastructure developments in South Africa. Of specific interest are the King Shaka International Airport and the Moses Mabhida Stadium in as well as the Coega container depot in the Eastern Cape.

Wispeco supplied material for the new King Shaka International Airport to various contractors. This included shopfront, curtain wall and louvre material.

Wispeco also played a critical role in the supply of extrusions for the exterior façade of the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban. The main contractor on the project was Façade Solutions and more than 250 tons of extrusions were supplied. Due to the structural nature of the application, Wispeco applied stringent quality control measures with each individual extrusion being tested to comply with specifications.
